5-Star Safety Jett Washington has become a priority recruit for the USC Trojans. With RJ Sermons reclassifying to the 2025 class, the Trojans have room for more defensive backs, and Washington is not only one of the best still uncommitted, but at 6’5, 200 pounds, he has the size and versatility that will thrive in D’Anton Lynn’s defense.
He recently just wrapped up an official visit with Alabama, and it reportedly went very well.
Jett Washington Speaks Highly Of Alabama Ahead Of USC Trojans Visit
Washington was down in Tuscaloosa for his official visit this past weekend. It was his third total visit to Alabama.
He recently spoke with On3 about the visit.
“Without a doubt, this visit helped Alabama. This was definitely a great visit for me and my family. The feeling I had on this visit was that I could see myself there and that I could be around those guys. This visit made me feel even better about Alabama than I did before. They are definitely around the top of the list.”
Alabama was one of four schools to get an official visit from Washington. He has one coming up with Ohio State on June 6 and Oregon on June 13. There is still a good chance that he will schedule one with Texas, and/or Texas A&M.
As of this writing (June 3rd), Washington is on his official visit with the USC Trojans. This is a huge opportunity for Lincoln Riley and his staff to tip to scales in their favor.

An interesting note, according to On3’s visit schedule, Washington is the only player on an official visit at USC today. While he won’t be with a bunch of other top recruits, he will have the sole attention of the staff. This will allow USC to really hammer down their plans for him and how they hope to develop and utilize him in their scheme.
Washington’s recruiting process has been a quiet one, compared to most other 5-star players. In my opinion, he is one that the USC Trojans are really honing in on and making a big effort to lock in.
He attends Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, so USC is closer to home, and as I mentioned earlier, his size and versatility would be perfect in this defense. He could play the free safety, but he has the size to play in the box in certain packages.
We will see if there is any movement in his recruitment by the end of today.
