June is going to be a massive month for USC Trojans recruiting as a swarm of blue-chip prospects will be in Los Angeles and on campus for official visits.
Add another name to that list as 5-star safety prospect Jett Washington has locked in an official visit with the Trojans, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

5-Star Jett Washington Schedules Official Visit With USC Trojans
For a high-profile 5-star recruit out of the famed Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, Washington’s recruitment has been fairly quiet and has flown under the radar. He has quietly taken a handful of visits, but they have not been as publicized as many other 5-star players.
His connection to USC has been even quieter, considering On3 doesn’t even list the Trojans in their recruiting prediction machine.
However, the Trojans have clearly made an impact and built a strong relationship, considering they landed one of his four official visits. Here is his full visit schedule:
- Alabama – May 30
- USC Trojans – June 3rd
- Ohio State – June 6th
- Oregon – June 13th
Washington visited a USC practice in April on an unofficial visit. He briefly spoke with On3 about how things are going with the Trojans and how he has been able to meet with Coach Riley, Coach Lynn, and Coach Belk.
“I got to spend a good amount of time with each one of them. It was great being around them,” Washington told On3. “They showed me where I fit in their defense and showed me what they do on a daily basis.”
Washington is the 3rd-ranked safety in the 2026 class, per On3 Industry Rankings. The Trojans currently have one true safety in the class, 3-star Madden Riordan. 3-star St. John Bosco commit Joshua Holland is listed as an ATH and has the ability to play either safety or corner.

Coach Lynn and Coach Belk love players who are versatile and can play in multiple spots, so it is almost better to look at USC commits as defensive backs instead of corners and safeties. With this being said, they have 4 total defensive backs, and with RJ Sermons reclassifying to the 2025 class, they will undoubtedly be looking to grow that number.
This is actually one of the first ripple effects, thanks to the Sermons reclassification. Gives the Trojans another spot in the class while also allowing them to reallocate their 2026 NIL budget.
Jett Washington looks to be a priority recruit moving forward, and the USC Trojans will work to knock his official visit out of the park.
