The USC Trojans continue their pursuit of retaining the No. 1 2026 recruiting class. They got a major boost on Friday when they landed the commitment of 5-star tight end Mark Bowman.
One player that they have been pursuing is 5-star cornerback Brandon Arrington. The Tojans were loaded with defensive back talent, so it was actually going to be tough to fit Arrington in, but once RJ Sermons reclassified to the 2025 class, that opened up a spot for the No. 1 corner in the Country.
However, Arrington just teased that a Big Ten rival has a real shot at landing his commitment.

Brandon Arrington Teases Commitment To Washington Over USC Trojans
In a post on X on Saturday evening, Arrington writes, “Don’t sleep on Washington in my recruiting process 👀👀☔️”
Arrington had the first of his official visits in Seattle this weekend, and clearly it went very well.
Since playing in the National Championship a few years ago, the Huskies have flown under the radar, but head coach Jedd Fisch is rebuilding a top program, and he is one of the better recruiters in the country.
Washington currently has the 27th-ranked 2026 class, but is trending for a lot of blue-chip prospects, one of those potentially being Arrington.
The 5-star CB out of Mount Miguel, California, has 4 more official visits lined up.
- Texas A&M – June 5
- Alabama – June 13
- USC Trojans – June 17
- Oregon – June 20
On3’s recruiting prediction machine still has Texas A&M as the heavy favorite to land him, with the USC Trojans in second, but these official visits can change everything, and it looks like Washington is climbing the ranks.
Will USC close the gap and lock down another top California prospect? Arrington is set to announce his commitment on July 5.
