USC Trojans Priority Recruit Receives New Crystal Ball…For SEC School

The USC Trojans wrapped up the month of June with a few monster recruiting wins. The number one tight end in the country, Mark Bowman, committed at the end of May, and the Trojans gained commitments from DB Peyton Dyer, LB Talanoa Ili, and EDGE Luke Wafle in June.

Now they hope to kick off the month of July with a bang as two high-profile wide receivers are set to make their school announcements in the coming days.

4-Star WR Boobie Feaster is set to announce on July 4th, and 4-Star WR Jalen Lott will announce his choice on July 8th.

Let’s focus on Feaster. Where do the USC Trojans stand?

Boobie Feaster Receives Crystal Ball For Texas A&M, Not USC Trojans

Over the past two days, two crystal ball predictions have been put in for Feaster to commit to Texas A&M over USC.

Landyn Rosow, Texas A&M recruiting insider for On3/Rivals, put in a prediction on Monday. Sam Spiegelman, national recruiting insider for On3/Rivals, put in a prediction for A&M today (7/1).

While this would make it seem as though the Aggies will ultimately land Feaster, do not count the Trojans out.

Lincoln Riley and Dennis Simmons have been recruiting Feaster since 8th grade, and were one of the first offers that the talented WR received. According to On3, Feaster and the two coaches talk almost every single day.

He has also grown very close to USC Trojans freshman DL Jahkeem Stewart. Both are originally from Louisiana and have grown very close throughout the process. Stewart has become one of the top player recruiters in the nation.

You also have to factor in Chad Bowden. If the recruitment of Mark Bowman and Luke Wafle showed us anything, it is that USC will not back down in the NIL department if it is a player they really want. If they see the fit, they are not going to be outbid. This is something that has fundamentally shifted since the commitment of, ironically, Jahkeem Stewart.

One of the final factors is Feaster’s relationship with 2027 quarterback Peyton Houston. The two have a very strong relationship (Feaster was originally a member of the 2027 class), and the Trojans have honed in on Houston as their 2027 QB. There is a belief that where Feaster commits, so will Houston.

All indications are that while Feaster took official visits to LSU and Alabama, it is a two-horse race between A&M and the Trojans.

The 4th of July is sure to have some fireworks…at the Beach and in the recruiting world. Will Boobie Feaster put on the USC Trojans hat? I personally feel confident that he will.
