The USC Trojans have had an extremely successful day, headlined by the commitment of 5-Star tight end Mark Bowman.

While the commitment of the No. 1 TE in the country is most important, it was the way that the USC social team announced it that lit the internet on fire.

Without officially announcing it, the USC Football X account posted a video from the iconic movie Anchorman, with USC alumnus Will Ferrell.

It was the scene where Ron Burgundy dramatically announces that he has a very important announcement, which ends up being him cannonballing into the pool

But knowing a little background, it is clear that the USC social team is taking a subtle shot at Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning.

A few weeks ago, Oregon and Lanning gained the commitment of 5-star defensive lineman Richard Wesley. To announce the news, a video was posted of Lanning and Wesley jumping into a pool together.

The video itself was awkward and very cringeworthy, but what made matters worse was that Wesley de-committed from Oregon not even two weeks later.

USC took this and ran with it and announced their commitment of Mark Bowman in epic fashion. The leader of the Trojans’ social team deserves a raise.
