The UCLA Bruins continue to quietly gain momentum in recruiting for the 2026 class. The Bruins currently have 8 commitments and have the 29th-ranked class, according to On3.
As they begin the month of June with a number of blue-chip prospects scheduled for official visits, they have just landed in the Final 6 for an elite 4-star offensive tackle.

Johnnie Jones Puts UCLA Bruins In Top 6
According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, 4-star offensive tackle Johnnie “DJ” Jones has included DeShaun Foster and the UCLA Bruins in his Final 6. The full 6 are as follows:
- UCLA Bruins
- Ole Miss
- Penn State
- Florida State
- Colorado
- Vanderbilt
This is really good company for UCLA to be in, and it speaks to the momentum that the program currently has.
The 6’6, 308-pound OT out of Bradenton, Florida, is the 12th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2026 class, according to On3 Industry Rankings.
UCLA has flown under the radar in his recruitment, as most of the SEC and Florida schools have gotten most of the shine, and Miami was one of the favorites to land him. However, Mario Cristobal’s team did not make his Top 6.
Can DeShaun Foster and the Bruins close the deal and land this huge recruit? He currently does not have an official visit scheduled with UCLA, but that should change with them pushing down the stretch.
