Clippers Coach Ty Lue Has Been Lights Out In Game 7s As An NBA Head Coach

The Los Angeles Clippers are in the midst of a win-or-go-home Game 7 tilt against the Denver Nuggets. It has been a wildly entertaining series and the most competitive in the NBA Playoffs.

As an NBA head coach, Ty Lue is currently a perfect 4-0. He is 2nd all-time to Red Auerbach, who is 8-0.

Lue has an impressive 57-40 overall playoff record.

3 of his 4 Game 7 victories came when he was the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was the head coach in perhaps the most famous Game 7 of all time when his Cavs capped off a historic series against the Golden State Warriors.

In that series, the Cavs were famously down 3-1 before famously coming all the way back and breaking the hearts of Golden State in Game 7.

In his first season with the Clippers in 2021, Los Angeles faced a Game 7 in the opening round against the Dallas Mavericks. They would go on to win that game 126-111.

Can Ty Lue make it 5-0 tonight? As of this writing, the Los Angeles Clippers are leading the Nuggets in the 1st quarter.
