The Los Angeles Dodgers head into MLB games today with one of the best records in baseball despite a myriad of injuries. Fortunately for the club, there’s positive news on Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow rejoining the Dodgers rotation.
Before Monday’s game, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Snell and Glasnow will throw bullpen sessions on Tuesday. Snell will be with the team in San Diego, coming off throwing a ‘touch-and-feel off’ from the mound over the weekend, while Glasnow pitches back in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Dodgers Positive Update On Blake Snell And Tyler Glasnow
Entering the Dodgers game today, Los Angeles ranks 22nd in rotation ERA and WHIP with the fifth-fewest quality starts (18) and the fourth-fewest innings pitched. It’s overtaxed the Dodgers’ bullpen, which has thrown the most innings (283) in baseball this season.
To put the workload placed on the Dodgers’ bullpen into perspective, no other team has asked its relievers to cover more than 270 innings entering play on Tuesday. Los Angeles is also doing all this at a time when Blake Treinen, Brusdar Graterol, Michael Grove, Kyle Hurt, and Evan Phillips are on the 60-day injured list.

Roberts also announced that pitcher Emmet Sheehan will make another rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City this week. If he can get through 4 innings without experiencing any discomfort, and he looks good, the club could activate him and add him to the pitching staff.
Snell, one of the highest-paid MLB players in 2025, landed on the injured list following an April 2 start with shoulder inflammation. There’s no timetable for his return, but he is making progress, and there’s at least hope for him rejoining the Dodgers rotation after the All-Star Break.
Glasnow last appeared in a game on April 27 with shoulder inflammation. If he comes out of the bullpen session on Tuesday without any setbacks, the next goal would be to have him throw against live hitters. As of now, the hope is that he could rejoin the pitching staff in July.
