Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts Gives A Massive Injury Update For The Pitching Staff

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been absolutely decimated by injuries during the 2025 season, and yet by some miracle, they are still in 1st place in the NL West.

Their bullpen is being held together by duct tape, and their starting rotation is missing both Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow, who are on the IL.

One of the Dodgers’ all-time greats, Clayton Kershaw, missed almost all of last season and has yet to appear this season while he continues to rehab.

However, in speaking to the media ahead of their Tuesday game against the Athletics, manager Dave Roberts gave a massive update regarding Clayton Kershaw and his return.

Los Angeles Dodgers Pitcher Clayton Kershaw To Make 2025 Debut

According to Dave Roberts, Clayton Kershaw will get the start on Saturday against the Angels.

This will be Kershaw’s first major league start since August 30th of last year, when he pitched just one inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The team, along with Kershaw, hoped that he could return during their playoff run, but it was not in the cards. Now he will get his return, which has been highly anticipated.

Kershaw finished last season with a 2-2 record and a 4.50 ERA. He pitched in just 30 total innings.

There was talk that once he was back, he would primarily pitch from the bullpen, so it will be interesting to see if he will end up back in the starting rotation, or if this is primarily due to a need with all of the injuries.

Roberts also announced that rookie phenom Roki Sasaki is dealing with arm soreness and could end up on the IL.

Regardless, all of Los Angeles will be tuned in to watch the return of one of the greatest Dodgers of all time.
