Rams Halftime Update: Lead Steelers 9-3 At The Break
The Los Angeles Rams lead the Pittsburgh Steelers 9-3 at halftime. In what has been mostly a defensive slugfest, the Rams offense has done some really nice things.
First and foremost, even with the injuries sustained at the running back position, Sean McVay called a very balanced half of football. It’s actually been dead even – 16 passes to 16 runs. 159 passing yards to 79 running yards.
Matthew Stafford and company have moved the ball well all half, but a missed Brett Maher field goal and extra point is why the score is closer than it should be.
Defensively, the Rams have been fairly dominant. The Steelers have 91 yards of total offense, and the run game (typically a staple for this Steelers franchise) has been stifled.
There is still plenty of football to play, but overall, the first half was a great performance for this Rams team. Now they just need to put more points on the board so that the Ramily can rest easy.
