The Los Angeles Rams picked the worst time to have one of the most humbling defeats of the year. However, while the Rams might have lost on the field, did any fantasy managers win their matchups courtesy of the performances of any single player? Here’s a look at the Rams fantasy results of Week 8 with a fair warning: a lot of disappointing results lie in waiting.

Matthew Stafford
Matthew Stafford left the game early and that’s either a great sign or an indicator of trouble. This week, it was an indicator of trouble. The quarterback injured his thumb, limiting his play for a big chunk of the day. Still, he managed to put up 12.38 points thanks to catching a two-point conversion for an added boost. That said, it was still his lowest point total of 2023. In the game, he completed 13 of 22 passes for 162 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp’s season is only four games old, but Sunday’s outing was his least productive of the season. In terms of yards earned, he ranked fourth on the team against the Cowboys. He had 10 targets, four receptions, and 21 yards. He’s been on a downward trend since Week 6 when he recorded 24.3 points. Last week, he totaled 5.9 points.
Puka Nacua
Puka Nacua also had one of his least productive outings of the year, totaling three catches on seven targets for 43 yards and 5.8 points. While that number would be a season-high for most players drafted in Nacua’s position, it leaves managers wanting more. Hopefully, he can bounce back against the Green Bay Packers. Even with the sluggish outing, he still ranks sixth among wide receivers in fantasy football.
Royce Freeman
While most players are trending down, Royce Freeman is trending up. The former Bronco started his newfound role with 6.6 points in 12 carries last week. This week, Freeman totaled nine attempts for 44 yards and a touchdown. Despite getting fewer carries as a result of the scoreboard, he managed to raise his stock further. At this point, he would at least make the bench of most fantasy leagues.
Darrell Henderson
As Royce Freeman has trended up, Darrell Henderson has trended slightly down. However, at least for now, he’s proven to be usable, earning double-digit usage in both of his games this season. Last week, he earned 13.1 points. This week, he earned 10.0 points as a result of 12 carries for 31 yards. In terms of receiving, he hauled in three passes on three targets, totaling 64 yards.
D/ST
After Week 8’s performance, the Rams defense and special teams unit is ranked dead last in the NFL in fantasy football. They had yet to have a single double-digit performance heading into Week 8 and are still looking for that milestone. Dak Prescott‘s offense put up 43 points on the unit. If it wasn’t for an interception and three sacks, the defense would have been in the negative on the day. As it stands, they salvaged one point. Hopefully, they can have a better outing against Jordan Love.
