The Los Angeles Rams currently have no succession plan for their 36-year-old quarterback, which has led many to rumors that the team is a potential landing spot for young quarterbacks seeking a place to rebuild their reputations under center.
The latest rumors have the team going after 2023 first-overall pick Bryce Young and 2021 second-overall pick Zach Wilson.
QBs in the Rumor Mill For The Los Angeles Ram
Bryce Young
During his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky suggested that the Carolina Panthers consider trading quarterback Young. Orlovsky believed that the Rams could be a potential suitor for Young.
Young was benched after two games under the new Panthers regime. He went 31 for 56, throwing for 245 yards and no touchdowns and three interceptions.
Zach Wilson
In September, ESPN analysts Dan Graziano and Adam Schefter speculated that Denver Broncos quarterback Wilson could be traded to either the Los Angeles or the Miami Dolphins. Wilson, who is 25 years old, was seen as a potential fit for both teams.
Now the Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants were both mentioned as potential trade destinations for Wilson in a Bleacher Report article published on Wednesday.
Wilson has yet to play a snap for the Denver Broncos in 2024 but played relatively well for them in the preseason. He played in 12 games last year for the New York Jets posting his career-best completion percentage of 60.1 percent and threw more touchdowns than interceptions for the first season of his NFL career.
