Injury Update On Cooper Kupp And Puka Nacua Is Ominous… At Best

A week of rest couldn’t have come at a better time for an injury-riddled Los Angeles Rams team that lost their last two games heading into the bye. But Sean McVay has his team back at it, preparing for Sunday’s Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua haven’t played since Week 2, and the latter’s been out since the Rams’ season opener while rehabbing injuries. On Monday, the Rams provided the latest injury updates on their two star receivers.

According to Sean McVay, Cooper Kupp’s injury recovery process has been going well. The All-Pro receiver is expected to go through a workout with Rams trainers on Monday, where he’ll go through “game-like movements” while running routes.

“He’s feeling good, he’s feeling optimistic, but he’s also very aware of what that looks like to be ready to roll and to maybe not quite be there yet. So today will be a big day.”

No determination has been made on Kupp’s status for Week 7, but as Coach McVay stated, Monday “will be a big day.”

Meanwhile, Puka Nacua’s injury update is more ominous. The 23-year-old Pro Bowler will not be practicing at all this week as he continues recovering from a knee injury he suffered in Week 1 against Detroit.
