“I would really say, ‘F— you guys,’” Betts said after host Kevin Hart asked him what his message was to those fans during Peacock’s “Back That Year Up 2024” special.

“Try and get the ball, cool. But, like, you’re trying to grab my s—,” Betts continued.

During Game 4 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium, Betts made a spectacular catch of Gleyber Torres’ foul ball. However, the moment was disrupted when Austin Capobianco and his friend John Peter, reached over the wall grabbing Betts wrist, dislodging the ball from his glove.

The umpire swiftly intervened, immediately ruling Torres out and directing security to the scene, who ejected the fans. Betts thought about retaliating in the moment, but a cooler head prevailed;

“I was in the moment, so I thought about throwing the ball at them and then I realized, ‘Mook, you ain’t gonna do s–t, go back to right field!’”

The Dodgers emerged victorious in the World Series, defeating the Yankees in five games. The Yankees’ own errors played a crucial role in the Dodgers’ success. A series of defensive miscues, including an error by Aaron Judge and an errant throw by Anthony Volpe, allowed the Dodgers to score five runs in Game 4, ultimately paving the way for their eventual 7-6 victory.
