The Los Angeles Dodgers have been busy so far this offseason in a quest to defend their World Series title. Their biggest move so far was signing starting pitcher Blake Snell, and they are still in contention to re-sign Teoscar Hernández and are the leaders in the clubhouse for Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki.
We are now learning that 2-time All-Star pitcher Devin Williams was almost a Dodger.
Devin Williams Expected To Be Traded To Los Angeles Dodgers
According to a Los Angeles Times report, and featured on Yahoo Sports, Devin Williams was told by the Milwaukee Brewers that he was most likely headed to the Dodgers. However, he went to the Yankees, a change of events that Williams described as “the Yankees snuck in under the table and got the deal done.”
Williams finished last season with 14 saves and an ERA of 1.25. He has had a sub-2 ERA in every season since 2022.

The Dodgers have been linked to plenty of bullpen pitchers during the offseason thus far, and will still be in the market to add one.
Tanner Scott is a player who has been heavily rumored to the Dodgers but has also been linked to the usual top markets, including the New York Mets. He had 22 saves with the San Diego Padres last season.
Devin Williams would have been a great addition, but ultimately, the Yankees stole him away at the last moment.
