The Los Angeles Chargers running back JK Dobbins left the game against the Baltimore Ravens shortly before halftime after suffering a knee injury.

Dobbins was seen getting his knee taped heavily on the sidelines, but ultimately left for the locker room before the team’s final offensive drive of the half. He returned wearing a knee brace but returned to the locker room. Later, he was seen on the sidelines out of uniform, but not in a brace.

Dobbins has been the lead back for the Chargers for much of the season, accounting for 73 percent of the running back rushing yards. Heading into this game Dobbins had 726 yards on 152 attempts and eight touchdowns.

In this game, Dobbins was averaging 6.7 yards per carry on six carries. He also had three receptions for 19 yards.

The team has running backs Gus Edwards and Hassan Haskins available. Haskins played a majority of snaps on that final offensive drive. Since then Edwards has taken the majority of reps at running back.

Dobbins was a point of concern given his injury history after being drafted by the Ravens in the 2020 draft. Dobbins has missed 40 of a possible 74 games over his five seasons in the league.
