The Los Angeles Chargers swiftly added 15 players to their practice squad. Teams can add up to 16 players to their practice teams Here is a complete list of who they have added thus far.
The Chargers picked 5th from the waiver wire and claimed only players that had been a part of the roster before Tuesday.
On Tuesday, head coach Jim Harbaugh expressed why the practice squad is important to the team and players, comparing it to the last time he was an NFL head coach.
“Before the the the changes in the [roster] rules, a guy could really level off. Like, ‘Hey I’m parked here this is where I’m at.’ …Human nature takes over and you don’t have that urgency to get as good at football as you possibly can. I think there’s just much more incentive right now.”
