Top NFL Draft Prospect Scouts California Houses As Los Angeles Chargers Chatter Heats Up

We’re now less than a month away from learning who will be joining Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers via the 2024 NFL Draft. While NFL Draft rumors suggest GM Joe Hortiz could work out a trade with a quarterback-needy team, right now the Chargers hold the fifth overall pick.

If they stand pat, the two biggest areas of need, point to a wide receiver or more help along the offensive line, such as tackle Joe Alt. Harbaugh has hinted that he’d like to build his team from the inside out, reinforcing the trenches in Los Angeles.

Yet, considering the Chargers have moved on from Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, a receiver makes sense too. This makes predicting what the Chargers will do via various mock drafts a fun, but hapless procedure. But, like teams are finalizing draft plans, top prospects are also thinking about life in the pros. That includes star LSU receiver Malik Nabers, who’s commonly projected to be drafted by the Chargers if he makes it to No. 6.

Here, Nabers is seen shopping for homes in California, just in case he lucks out and gets drafted by the Chargers.

Malik Nabers Shopping For Houses In Preparation Of Joining Los Angeles Chargers?

Sure, the Chargers are one of three teams operating out of California, but barring a massive draft day slide, Nabers isn’t falling to the Rams at 19 (not that they would need him). Slipping even further down to the San Francisco 49ers at 31 seems like a stretch, too. Both teams could trade up, but again, the Chargers are a natural fit, being that they’re already in the expected draft range for Nabers.

While Nabers seems more than open to catching passes from Justin Herbert next season, it remains to be seen whether the Chargers’ interest is mutual. Yet, as one of, possibly even the top receiver prospect in the class, Nabers could be a great fit in Los Angeles.
