“The Chargers, they have a lot of holes. But in terms of high impact, what will impact their success the most this year? What are the positions that they should be charging on? They need a big-time Jim Harbaugh running back. That’s the first thing I’m gonna say. Austin Ekeler‘s a man. I certainly have the most respect for him in his game. But again, we know it’s running backs. He’s a smaller guy.”

“I think in the perfect world, you’d him to be kind of your complimentary back number two, right? It’s Michigan football. It’s Frank Gore, right? They’re not famous for throwing the ball 45 times a game. They were famous for beating your butt. Saquon [Barkley] They need that kind of guy. I think that makes sense. We run the ball, play tough.”

Chris Simms on Justin Herbert

“[The Chargers] got a quarterback to me who’s the best in the pocket passing quarterback in football. I mean, {Justin Herbert] Robocop in there and just throws lasers down the field with people all over him. I think he’s perfect for the Harbaugh offense.”

On The Pass Rush

I don’t think [Joey] Bosa is gonna be there, right? No, I don’t. So I don’t expect that to be there. So that’s where I look in the draft or free agency. A pass rusher again to go along with whatever they wanna do with Khalil Mack.
