Commitment Watch: Top 5 USC Trojans Targets Headed to Rival Schools During Big Recruiting Weekend

Official visit season is in full swing and that means big commitments are coming from the top uncommitted prospects, post haste. It also means USC Trojans fans need to be on high alert for the feared commitment flippers and the dreaded de-commiters.

Several of the very best prospects will be attending OVs with the premier programs around the country, several of which have been linked to USC football. Let’s take a look at those players and what these visits mean for the Trojans’ future.

USC Trojans Targets Headed to Rival Schools

Isaiah Gibson: 5 Star, Edge | Visiting: South Carolina

Gibson committed to USC on March 24, flipping his commitment from Georgia.

Griffin flipped his commitment from his home state school Georgia shortly after Lincoln Riley overhauled his defensive coaching staff. Defensive line coach, Eric Hederson is credited with his recruitment.

Griffin’s OV dance card is very full heading into the summer with visits to several top programs, including Ohio State, Florida, and Oklahoma. He visited Georgia on May 31st.

Griffin might be the most sought after uncommitted prospect in all of college football right now. The 6’3″ 270 lbs junior is rated as the top defensive lineman in his class by ESPN, 247 Sports, and On3. Last season, he racked up 97 tackles, 31 for loss including 17.5 sacks in 14 games.

    Griffin has yet to meet officially with the USC. OV is scheduled for June 21.

    Jonah Williams: 5 Star, Safety | Visiting: Texas A&M

    Williams visited with USC for an OV just last weekend. At the end of April he announced that the Trojans made his top-7 finalist. Hudson Standish of 247 SPORTS says He is ‘one of the freakiest athletes in the 2025 recruiting cycle, and has a legitimate chance to develop into an early-round selection in either the MLB or NFL Draft. and ‘Verified 6-foot-3.5, 205 pounds with encouraging length and an athletic frame.”

    Dorian Brew: 5 Star, CB | Visiting: USC

    On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine:

    • Ohio State Buckeyes: 95.5%
    • USC Trojans: 1.3%

    Steve Wiltfong of On3 Sports reported that, according to a source close to Dorian Brew LSU, Texas, and USC are best positioned, to secure a commitment from the 6’1″ 200 lbs cornerback.

    “USC is a program that has been kinda of a sexy name around Brew after some visits out there,” the source said, “[He likes] the new coaching staff. And D’Anton Lynn, the defensive coordinator is kind of leading that charge and making things attractive out there at USC.”

    USC Football extended an offer to Brew in January 2024.
