The Los Angeles Rams may have won the Super Bowl and made several big moves to shore up their roster, but no roster is ever finished. Especially for the Rams, who face the league’s toughest schedule. As such, even the Rams have some compatibility with several players surprisingly still available on the market. Here’s a look at three free agents the Rams should pursue before training camp kicks off later this month.

3 Free Agents Los Angeles Rams Should Consider Before Training Camp

1) Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham and the Rams have resembled Ross and Rachel from Friends in terms of the ongoing “will they, won’t they” dance throughout the offseason. As it stands, Odell Beckham Jr. is still available and while the team has already made moves at wide receiver, there’s always room for another who’s familiar with Sean McVay’s offense. With Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson, and Van Jefferson already set to start in 2022, adding Beckham would complete the passing offense. And at the moment both sides have looked upon his return in a positive light.

Put simply, Matthew Stafford would at least have one receiver open on every single play. Even if the wide receiver keeps at his 500-yard pace from the last few seasons, it would likely be an upgrade over some of the players at the bottom of the roster such as Ben Skowronek. Beckham also came up huge in the Rams playoff run and was having a phenomenal game in the Super Bowl before sustaining his injury. Even coming off an ACL tear, the wide receiver has a great shot to be a useful force in 2022.

Considering he will be missing a large chunk of the season the Rams could get him at a very reasonable contract.

2) Duane Brown

*Editorial Update: Since the publishing of this post, Brown was arrested at LAX on a gun possession charge. He was released later the same day and will have a court appearance next month.

Losing Andrew Whitworth was one of the biggest negatives of the entire offseason and one that has been essentially swept under the rug. However, there’s still an offensive tackle on the market worth taking a deep look at. Offensive tackle Duane Brown has a place with the Rams in 2022. At 37 years old, he’s no spring chicken, but neither was Whitworth. With Brown, the Rams would be getting multiple years younger at the position and can buy themselves more time while they search for their next generation at the position. He brings with him a lot more experience than the front runner to replace Whitworth, Joe Noteboom.

Last season, Brown earned a functional 71.5 PFF grade in almost 1000 snaps. If nothing else, he’s worth a shot on an offensive line that has shown cracks even before losing Whitworth. Considering Brown has spent plenty of time with the Seahawks, he could be a decent source of information against the team’s arch-rival.

3) Ndamukong Suh

Von Miller may be gone and nothing’s going to fully replace him, but signing Ndamukong Suh could bridge the gap. Last year, he earned six sacks and has Super Bowl experience as an added bonus. At this point, the Rams should mostly focus on players with playoff or Super Bowl experience. Suh’s longevity in the league may not be the best at 35 years old, but the Rams are in a win-now mode and should be taking things one year at a time anyway.

Reuniting Suh and Aaron Donald on the same defensive line could work wonders in helping take pressure away from Donald and the rest of the position group. When the two played together in 2018 not only did they make the Super Bowl, Donald recorded a career-high 113 quarterback pressures and 21 sacks per PFF. According to Pro Football Reference, with a perfect attendance record going back to 2011, Suh’s in great shape to be available for all 17 games in 2022 as an added bonus.
