Well, here we are in week 12! With only two weeks left until the fantasy playoffs, let’s take a look at who you should be adding to your roster to make that final push into the fantasy promise land.

Whisnant’s Week 12 Fantasy Waiver Wire Adds

Samaje Perine, Washington Redskins, RB

Coming off his best game of the season, Perine looks to be making the most of his opportunities. With Chris Thompson now injured, Perine will dominate the snaps for the Redskins and should be an every-down back going forward. His ceiling now shoots up to an RB2 and should be an immediate add if you’re in need running back help. For the remaining weeks, Perine plays the Giants defense twice, Cowboys, Chargers, Broncos, and Cardinals, Those are some good matchups for the rookie who is sure to help you in your fantasy playoffs.

Corey Clement, Philadelphia Eagles, RB

The Eagles backfield has now become a 3 way battle for touches. The two-headed giant of Jay Ajayi and LeGarrette Blount are not losing too many snaps to the rookie, but Clements’ performance over the last few games have given him a flex value for the upcoming weeks. He has five touchdowns over the last four weeks and seems to be coming into a role that gives him about 10 or so snaps. His timeshare comes with some risk but could prove worthy of an add because of his big-play potential.

Washington Redskins D/ST

The Redskins defense was playing well for the first half of last weeks game against the New Orleans Saints. That is until Drew Brees took over. Hopefully, the Redskins will show up like they did in the first half of that game for the remainder of the season. If they don’t crumble, this defense has some great matchups down the stretch. Their opponents are listed above (under Perine’s breakdown) and with a soft matchup against the Giants on Thanksgiving this defense may be one of the best options for week 12. Look into adding this D/ST off the waivers for a solid option this week and well into the playoffs.

Devontae Booker, Denver Broncos, RB

The Broncos backfield, now under a new offensive coordinator, seems to be moving to a two-back system. This could catapult Booker up to flex value for those in larger leagues. The remainder of the season looks good for Booker with games against the Oakland and Miami over the next two weeks. If you need some flex help in deeper leagues, or just want to build depth at the running back position, look for Booker on the waiver wire.

Tyler Kroft, Cincinnati Bengals, TE

The Cincinnati tight end has managed to snag four touchdowns this season and will look to add to that total this week against Cleveland. In week four, Kroft had a career-high 2 touchdowns and a monster day against the Browns. Kroft will look to repeat that performance against a defense that is one of the worst in the league at defending tight ends. Give Kroft a look as a streaming option this week.
