Which Jaguars Team Will Show Up In Week 4

Coming off a huge win in London the Jags look to keep rolling this week against the New York Jets.  The question is: which Jaguar team will show up?  Will we see the monster offense that ran over the stout Raven defense, or will we get the slow lethargic unproductive Jags that lost to the Titans?  They will be facing that not-so-imposing New York Jets that sports fans generally agree are in full tank mode to get a shot at potential #1 pick quarterback Sam Darnold.  However, even in the effort to lose they still managed to win against the Miami Dolphins.

This week’s success will greatly depend on their ability to run the football.  Running back Leonard Fournette‘s productivity will be the ‘factor to watch’ in this game.  If he can get off to a fast start, the Jags will be well on their way to another win.  If the running game struggles this week and Blake Bortles is forced to try and carry the team early, the offense will stall and the Jets will have far too many chances to score points.  The ability for Jacksonville to run the ball is the measuring stick for how well they do against the Jets and the rest of the league this season.

The Jags haven’t had a go-to running back like this since Maurice Jones-Drew, and when MJD was in his prime and the Jags had a solid game manager quarterback (David Garrard), the Jaguars were able to make it to the playoffs.  We are here again, great running back and a solid game manager quarterback; let’s see if head coach Doug Marone can use this offense to win games, instead of just trying not to lose.
