USC Football Shows No Interest in Top QB Recruit

Lincoln Riley emphasized recruiting as a top priority to “get it right” with USC football. He spoke of wanting to move away from the transfer portal and focus on developing in-house recruited talent. Smigiel visited USC in an unofficial capacity in 2022. This will be his third trip to Tallahassee including an FSU camp in 2021

According to On3, Oregon leads the way with a 30.8 percent chance of landing the QB. Oregon State is the first runner-up at 14 percent. Notre Dame, Michigan, and FSU are all bunched together with a 10 percent chance.

In 2023, Smigiel threw for 4222 and 52 touchdowns leading the Newberry Park Panthers to a record of 10-4 per Max Preps.
