USC Football: 5-Star Texas Receiver Slated For June Visit

It was reported on Wednesday by Scott Schrader of On3 that Kaliq Lockett, a 5-star wide receiver from Sachse, TX, will visit USC football in an official capacity on June 7th.

USC will host several top prospects during this period, June 7-9. Darrell Johnson- 4 star DB, Andrew Marsh- 4 star WR, Bryce Fitzgerald- 4 star S, Malik Autry- 4 star DL, Loganza Hayward 4 star S and Christian Gass 4 star LB.

New USC Trojans RB Coach Anthony Jones Jr. Is Already Setting The Tone

The 6’1 175 lbs junior caught 59 passes for 1299 yards and 13 touchdowns in 11 games.

While there are many schools in play for Lockett, he called USC his ‘dream school’ because of his family that lived near the USC campus. He has received offers from several top-end schools including Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, and TCU. He is visiting Texas a few days after visiting Southern California.

Lincoln Riley and Dennis Simmons Give USC Football An Edge

When speaking with We Are SC, Lockett said the following about the SC coaching staff, “..Coach [Lincoln] Riley is an offensive genius. And Coach [Dennis] Simmons has coached guys that are making impacts in the NFL like Jordan Addison, CeeDee Lamb, and Hollywood Brown. Those guys on the staff have proved they can get high caliber guys better and better and prepare them for the NFL draft.”
