As of Tuesday, NCAA football’s transfer portal window has officially opened, and UCLA football already has good news on the horizon. One of the top offensive tackles in the nation is considering playing for the Bruins this upcoming season.

Former Arkansas OL Andrew Chamblee is reportedly visiting four schools in the upcoming weeks. Among them is UCLA. His visit to Westwood is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17th.

UCLA Football to Upgrade O-Line Via Transfer Portal

UCLA football is in need of an upgrade at the position. Last season, left tackle Bruno Fina allowed 38 pressures, the seventh most pressures in all of college football. Right tackle Garrett DiGiorgio wasn’t far behind with 36. Adding Chamblee would be a huge step in the right direction.

In the past, attracting a high-level player, like Chamblee was a long shot. But the new recruiting regime put in place by head coach DeShaun Foster has opened the floodgates attempting to make the school a destination for quality talent.

Chamblee was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2022. ESPN ranked Chamblee as the No. 2 prospect out of the state of Arkansas. He joined the Razorbacks over offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Miami, and Penn State.

He was named to the All-SEC freshman team, one of six offensive linemen named to the team.
