UCLA Football Extends Offer To 4-Star RB

UCLA Football extended an offer to Karson Cox of Oak Hills High School. Cox posted the news via Twitter. In the tweet, Cox thanked head coach DeShaun Foster and Marcus Thomas. Reports have linked Thomas to the running backs coach job. Foster was a UCLA and NFL running back and was running backs coach at UCLA from 2017-2023. Offensive Coordinator Eric Bienienmy was also an NFL running back and has experience as a running backs coach including with UCLA from 2003-2005

If he decides to commit, Cox would have plenty of support from his coaching staff.

The 6′ 190lbs running back from Hesperia, CA joins the growing list of UCLA recruits from Southern California. This is something that distinguishes Foster from his predecessor.

Cox’s Impressive Production

Cox has had impressive production over his sophomore and junior seasons. In 2022, he rushed for 1215 yards at 9.5 yards per carry with 18 touchdowns in 11 games. He played in 10 games in 2023, but his production and efficiency went up; 19 touchdowns, 1349 yards at 10.5 yards per carry. He had 128 carries each season. Stats obtained through MaxPreps. Cox has received offers from many current and recently former PAC-12 schools, including cross-town rival, USC.
