After inducting so many people into the Hall of Pain, “Sexual Chocolate” Mark Henry is making the WWE Hall of Fame sexy. Mark Henry has officially received his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Having been with the WWE for more than 20 years, the Texas boy has done his home state incredibly proud.[heading]Early Career[/heading]Mark Henry’s career began when he was in high school. Henry won state powerlifting championships from his sophomore year on. He continued after high school into the International Junior Championships. Next came his move into the Olympics in 1992 and 1996. Henry also competed in the Pan American Games, where he won bronze, silver, and gold medals. This got the attention of the WWE, earning him his first appearance in WWE in 1996. He continued his strength competitions and won the World Strongest Man competition in 2002. He would continue to participate in strength-based competitions and would frequently make appearances at powerlifting meets at all levels.[heading]WWE Career[/heading]The WWE brought in Mark Henry, who made his debut in 1996 against Jerry “the King” Lawler. Plagued by injury early in his career, Henry returned in 1998 as the big muscle for the Nation of Domination, a faction that included Farooq, D’Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa (The Godfather), and The Rock. After the fall of the Nation, Mark Henry gave himself the nickname “Sexual Chocolate” and had a really good run doing some comedy to go along with his incredible feats of strength.
Henry held a few titles as well. He was the WWF European champion in 1999, the ECW champion in 2008, and finally the WWE World Heavyweight Champion in 2011. Mark Henry has continued his work with the WWE up until 2017, where he competed at WrestleMania 33. Now, Henry is honoring his final match with a Hall of Fame induction.
