Parkinson will join Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen, and Hunter Long in the Rams tight end room. Higbee tore his ACL in the Wild Card round of the 2023 playoffs and will likely miss some of the season. Long played limited offensive snaps in three games for the Rams last season. He had suffered a Grade 2 ACL Sprain. Allen proved to be a good pass catcher, but needed to improve as a blocker.

The 6’7″ 251 lbs former 4th-round pick adds his quality blocking skills to the Rams. Although he has had limited experience in the passing game, he has proved to be a reliable option when targeted. On 25 receptions he caught 247 yards last season and most importantly for the Rams 11 of those went for first downs.

The LA native and Stanford alumni’s contract details will emerge, but he will likely be a 2024 cap hit of around $4-5 million. This leaves the Rams with an estimated salary cap space of $12 million including an estimated $13 million cap hit due to the Jonah Jackson signing.
