The Los Angeles Rams coaching staff being raided is nothing new. This time around it is quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator, Zac Robinson, and tight ends coach, Nick Caley. Caley is set to interview on Monday while Robinson’s interview is scheduled for Tuesday.

Nick Caley has been with the Rams for one season and has had some buzz as a coach on his way up. He also has ties to New England and their new head coach Jerod Mayo. Caley was on the Patriots coaching staff as an offensive assistant then as the tight ends coach and full backs coach from 2017-2022 before joining the Rams. Caley is also a football coaching outlier as he also worked on the defensive side of the ball while coaching in college. He graduated from the prestigious football coaching machine, John Carroll, and started his coaching career there as a graduate assistant.

Zac Robinson is a Los Angeles Rams home-grown product. They gave him his first coaching job as an assistant quarterbacks coach under Shane Waldron. He was promoted to his current role in 2022. Robinson was a prolific college quarterback at Oklahoma State while playing for Mike Gundy. Robinson was drafted in the seventh round by the New England Patriots and bounced around to a few teams before hanging it up in 2014. Robinson has also drawn interest from the Saints and Bears for their offensive coordinator vacancies.
