Los Angeles Chargers Injury Update:

Austin Ekeler (RB) – Out

Austin Ekeler, a dynamic running back for the Chargers, has been sidelined with an ankle injury. Like Bosa, Ekeler also missed Thursday’s practice session but also missed Friday’s. With Ekeler out for the second week in a row, the Chargers’ offensive game plan is drastically different. With Ekeler in the game during Week 1 the Chargers ran the ball 40 times for 233 yards. Against the Titans, they ran 21 times for 61 yards.

Joey Bosa (LB) – Questionable

Joey Bosa, a vital piece of the Chargers’ defense, is dealing with a hamstring issue. Unfortunately, Bosa didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice and was limited on Friday, which raises questions about his availability for Sunday’s game. The Chargers will likely monitor his progress closely in the coming days.

Eric Kendricks (LB) – Questionable

On the Vikings’ side, linebacker Eric Kendricks is nursing a hamstring injury. Kendricks missed all three days of Chargers’ practice this week and has been officially ruled out for this game. His absence will impact the Chargers already weak defense.

Injured Reserve Updates

In other news, cornerback Amechi Uzodinma has reverted to the injured reserve list due to an undisclosed injury. This move means he won’t be available for the upcoming matchup.

Defensive tackle and former Bruin Otito Ogbonnia, dealing with a kneecap issue, remains on the reserve/PUP list. His return date is uncertain at this point.

Wide receiver Jalen Guyton, who has been placed on the reserve/PUP list due to a knee injury, will also miss the game.

Offensive tackle Andrew Trainer, who had an undisclosed injury, is on injured reserve as well.

As the Chargers prepare to take on the Vikings, they’ll closely evaluate the status of these injured players. Their availability or absence could significantly impact the outcome of the game. Chargers fans will be eagerly awaiting updates as the game day approaches, hoping to see their key players on the field.
