According to data compiled by the BACTrack, a company that sells breath alcohol testers for both personal & professional use, fans of the Los Angeles Chargers are among the most sober fanbases in all of NFL football.
Los Angeles Chargers Fans 5th Most Sober
Chargers fans came in 5th with a blood alcohol rating of .062 percent. They were behind the Kansas City Cheifs .051%., followed by fans of the Washington Commanders (.058%), New York Giants (.058%), Baltimore Ravens (.059%)
The Drunkest Fanbases?
The Tennessee Titans top the list at.093%, followed by fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers (.088%), Indianapolis Colts (.085%), Atlanta Falcons (.085%) and New Orleans Saints (.080%)
A Cannabis Correlation
All five of the most sober fanbases reside in states with legalized use of cannabis for recreation. The drunkest fanbases are all in states with restrictions on the use of recreational cannabis.
Methodology
Over 28,000 breath tests were collected anonymously from users of the BACtrack app, which syncs with smartphone breathalyzers, used by participants who want to know their BAC levels before getting behind the wheel.
From 6 a.m. the day of regular season games until 6 a.m. the following day, BACtrack measured the result recorded each time an NFL fan took a BAC test.
