Chargers Vs Chiefs Halftime Update: Chargers Defensive Woes Continue

After the Chargers offense was seemingly non-existent last week, we have finally seen some flashes again of what this unit can be. They have been much more balanced with 14 passes to 15 runs (2 of those being Herbert scrambles). 233 total yards of offense and 17 points in the first half is a really good first half, especially with how this offense has played of late.

Unfortunately, they were yet again outdone by the opposing offense. The Chiefs have 333 yards of total offense, 321 of those yards coming via the pass, and 24 points.

Yet again, this defense is letting the team down. Travis Kelce is having a career game with 9 receptions, 143 yards, and a touchdown…in the first half.

The Chargers defense simply has no answers. No adjustments have been made, and exactly what we expected as talked about on the Chargers Unleashed Podcast, the Chiefs offense would have its way with the Bolts’ defense.

There is still an entire half to play, and this Chargers team is only down seven, but at this point, there isn’t much confidence that the defense will do anything to slow down Mahomes and the Chiefs.
