In the Quarterfinals of the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 playoffs, the Chaminade Eagles knocked off defending champion Upland, 28-27 in an overtime thriller. Jaylen Henderson connected with Ian Duarte on the Eagles’ first overtime possession for an 11-yard Touchdown to give Chaminade a 28-21 lead. Upland’s Justin Flowe answered with a two-yard touchdown run to pull them back within one point. The Highlanders then opted to attempt a two-point conversion but Flowe was stuffed and the Eagles prevailed. Chaminade will face #2 seed San Clemente next Friday night in the Semi-Finals.
