Caleb Williams Named Jason Witten Collegiate Man Of The Year Semifinalist

Defending Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams brought more excitement to his already illustrious career by being named a Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Semifinalist today (Oct. 18)! This prestigious award is presented annually to an FBS college football player who showcases outstanding leadership qualities, courage, integrity, and sportsmanship, both on and off the field. It is inspired by the remarkable character and commitment to community, family, and teammates demonstrated by Jason Witten, the 2012 NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year and a beloved role model in the game.

Selected by the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Selection Committee, the semifinalists are individuals who have shown exceptional leadership, unwavering integrity, and sportsmanship both as athletes and as members of their communities.

Williams, a record-setting unanimous first-team All-American, has an impressive list of on-field achievements. However, his star shines just as brightly off the field. Through the Caleb Cares Foundation, he passionately advocates for mental health awareness, anti-bullying initiatives, and the development of young minds. Recognizing his impactful community work, Williams was chosen as part of the 2022 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Additionally, as a trailblazer in the NIL era, he strives to involve his teammates in the numerous partnerships that come his way due to being one of the most recognized players in the sport.

Excitement builds as we anticipate the announcement of the three finalists for this incredible award on Wednesday, December 13. The highly anticipated winner will be revealed at an award ceremony in Frisco, Texas, on February 15, 2024.

Furthermore, the recipient of the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year award will receive a remarkable $10,000 contribution in their name to their school’s athletic scholarship fund. This generous contribution will be made by Jason Witten’s SCORE Foundation, the official charity of Jason and his wife Michelle. It is truly heartwarming to witness such support for the young athletes and their dreams.

Caleb Williams continues to amaze both on and off the field, inspiring us all with his leadership, compassion, and dedication. We eagerly await the upcoming stages of this prestigious award and celebrate his remarkable achievements thus far.
