Alex Smith Throws 5 TDs Against The Eagles
The Chiefs flew back to Kanas City with a newfound confidence. The offensive unit looked at one another and determined, “wow, we have some real fire power.” Come Sunday’s game against the Eagles in KC, Smith methodically picks apart the Eagles underwhelming secondary, which just lost its most talented player, Ronald Darby. The barrage of quick passes to Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce will render the Eagles pass rush useless. Philly’s stout front 7 will also take a prolonged beating courtesy of a string of effective runs from Kareem Hunt.
Ultimately, the balanced offensive play calling will result in Smith dropping 5 TDs against the boys from Philly. Kelce will snag two red zone scores, Hill gets his two (one from a screen and another 60+ yard bomb), and the 5th score comes from a short yardage dump-off to Hunt. After the game’s over, the boldest speculation of them all will be made, Chiefs are going to be regarded as the team to beat in contention for the Super Bowl.
Le’Veon Bell Has Less Than 80 Total Yards From Scrimmage
Bell shocked everyone in the fantasy football world with his meager 47 total yards, a stat which marked Bell’s lowest career output. What makes matters worse, that lackluster performance came against the Browns. The superstar back touched the ball only 13 times, which is significantly less than his usual 25ish. Despite this performance, Bell will finish the season a dominant running back.
However, I don’t think his matchup against the Vikings bodes well for him. Minnesota just smothered the Saints this week with its shutdown defense and balanced offense. The Steelers won’t be able to establish a run game, and by the time the second half rolls around, they’ll realize that their best option is to win the game through the air. Bell’s production will mostly come from his role in the passing attack, but I expect this will be the game Martavis Bryant bounces back (my bold prediction within a bold prediction).
Mike Evans Has 200+ Receiving Yards
Tampa Bay had to postpone their week 1 matchup, so we’ve all yet to see the truth behind the Buccaneers’ buzz. Truthfully, I don’t think this prediction is that bold (Evans is bound to have a 200-yard outing at some point). Nonetheless, Evans is itching to prove that he’s the best receiver in the league, a point that he suggested in HBO’s Hard Knocks. And after an opening week in which all his competition (with the exception of Antonio Brown) fell woefully short of expectations, the door for Evans to make a statement is wide open.

In addition to his insane talent, athleticism, and commitment to reach the apex of receiver supremacy, Evans will face the Bears, to put it lightly, a team that hasn’t been known for its defense since the days of Brian Urlacher. Take these elements, and add the fact that Evans was amongst the most targeted receivers in the league, and you have yourself a powder keg of fantasy production ready to blow!
Gronk Has A 3 TD Performance Against The Saints
Football fans around the globe watched in awe as the Patriots were handled by the Chiefs in the first game of the season. Despite their pregame championship ceremony, Brady didn’t throw a single touchdown and the defense allowed 42 points (a game that highlights the fact that no prediction can be too bold!). However, the Patriots now have the distinct pleasure of playing the Saints’ defense, a unit that gave up nearly 350 yards to Sam Bradford. This is going to be a statement game for the Patriots, one that shouts, “Hey, we’re still the team to beat!” In his blind rage and determination, Brady will pepper Gronk with targets all day, ultimately giving the big tight end 3 of their 6 touchdowns on the day.
Terrance West And Javorius Allen Both Finish With Over 100 Total Yards From Scrimmage
A ridiculous claim, I know, but half the fun of a bold prediction is simply testing how bold you can go with it. During the first series of their game against the Bengals, the Ravens made it clear that Danny Woodhead was their main back. Unfortunately, he promptly left the game with a hamstring injury.
West and Allen got 19 and 21 touches respectively. Both runners weren’t amazing, but they certainly did enough to maintain a consistent time of possession. In their upcoming matchup against the Browns, West and Allen will once more be the focal points of the offense. And now that they’ll be facing an inferior Browns defense, the running tandem will take their 20ish touches, along with a handful of receptions, and finish the game with 100+ yards, and maybe, just maybe, a pair of touchdowns. If you just lost David Johnson, don’t be afraid to start one of these two backs in his place.
