Well, it has been 50/50, and now this is officially happening. QB Husan Longstreet will be entering the transfer portal. We will have more on this on the USC LAFB Show shortly.

I think you are in the right line of thinking, but here is what I would add.
Impact player doesn’t necessarily mean a 3-down, 65 snaps a game player. Deven Bryant out of Washington is probably not a 3-down starter for USC, but he is a fantastic run-stuffer, and can be utilized in short-yardage run situations.

There were some rumors of Coach Nua being linked to the BYU DC job, as that is his alma mater. Yesterday, BYU promoted Kelly Poppinga to their DC, so Coach Nua will remain at USC.

Ryan where do you feel the staff is as far as how many players they want to take in the portal? I’m mainly concerned with the acquisitions they’ve made on defense (the kids from UW and Penn State).
