Braun Strowman Should Win The WWE Universal Championship

He has fought some of the best matches of his career in 2017 with the likes of Roman Reigns, Big Show and Brock Lesnar. By facing those men, he has proved to be a future main eventer. Ever since breaking apart from the Wyatt Family, he has crushed all competition put in front of him.

At the Royal Rumble, Braun will be a part of the triple threat match with Kane and Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. For who will win and walk out with the Universal Championship, it’s got to be Braun.

With that being said, here is a couple of reasons why Braun Strowman should win the WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble.

1. Roman Reigns Feud

He has had the rivalry of the year in 2017 against Roman Reigns. Fans have gotten fully behind Strowman in this feud. Obviously, because they hate Roman with a burning passion. Their matches, however, have been the most intense as of late.

For instance, who could forget the episode of Raw where Braun brutalized Roman to the point where Roman would be carried out on a stretcher. Braun would attack Roman on the stretcher and even tipped over the ambulance while Reigns was inside.

Braun has had classic matches with Roman. He defeated Reigns at Payback in a vicious battle, having Roman carried out. He also defeated Roman in a brutal ambulance match at Great Balls Of Fire. In a Last Man Standing match on Raw is where he would beat Roman for a third time. The encounters between Roman and Braun have shown that Braun can hang with current main eventers like Roman Reigns.

2. Encounters With Brock Lesnar

His matches involving him and Brock Lesnar show that he is more than capable of going toe to toe with the Beast Incarnate and can be a legit opponent for a big draw like Brock Lesnar.

At Summerslam last August, Braun competed in a fatal four-way match against Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and Samoa Joe. Braun was without a doubt in anyone’s mind the MVP of that match. He absolutely obliterated Brock during the match as he power slammed him through three announce tables, leaving Brock lifeless and carried out on a stretcher. Braun lost the match after Brock came back into the match to win it, but he showed himself to be a legit main event contender.

At No Mercy a couple of months later, Braun would face Brock for the first time ever one on one for the Universal Championship. Even in this match, Braun took Brock Lesnar to the limit and nearly captured the title. Brock ultimately won, but it took a lot more than Brock expected to beat him. Braun showed that he is a challenge for Brock and can very well take the title from him at the Royal Rumble.

3. A Better Alternative For Wrestlemania

The final reason why Braun should be champion is that it is a better alternative.

Fans have shaken their heads at the idea of Brock and Roman wrestling again on the big stage. A better alternative would have Braun defend it against Roman if he wins the Rumble match. Yeah, we have seen them wrestle countless times already, but why not at Wrestlemania. It would be billed as their final encounter to a great rivalry and to end it once and for all. To have Roman beat Brock at Mania would be predictable and disappointing. Especially since Brock is massively over with the crowd.

Both Braun and Roman would have an amazing 5-star classic at Wrestlemania. If they main event Mania, it could be one of the best Wrestlemania main events ever. Just make it a No DQ match, they will blow the roof off of the Mercedes Benz Superdome.

Anyway, those are my reasons. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments.
