Week 16 Al Dente Dude Of The Week

The Kansas City Chiefs have had an up and down year, to say the least. They started 2017 out 5-0 and looked really impressive but then went 1-6 in their next seven outings. They were 6-6 heading into a key week 14 divisional matchup with the Oakland Raiders. They won 26-15 and then beat the LA Chargers in week 15 by a tally of 30-13 to take sole control of the division. Then last week against the Miami Dolphins, the Chiefs sewed up their second consecutive AFC West crown by taking down the Fins 29-13.Alex Smith has had the greatest season of his career in 2017 and it only gets better as he has now achieved his greatest accomplishment yet, the Al Dente Dude Of The Week. Smith has led the historic Chiefs offense all year and continued that same leadership against the Dolphins.

Smith gave the Chiefs Kingdom a wonderful Christmas gift by throwing for 304 yards and a touchdown on the Christmas Eve showdown with the Dolphins. Smith orchestrated the offense up and down the field all afternoon as the Chiefs were forced to punt just once the entire game.Smith is a pretty under the radar quarterback but his mesmerizing good looks are definitely not flying under the radar. Smith’s sky blue eyes along with his million-dollar smile make him very worthy of being the latest Al Dente Dude. Smith has a terrific grin but when he has his game face on and is working his competitive stare he is at his best.

Not only is #11 bringing the heat in the looks department, he is also very giving. He started the Alex Smith Foundation to help foster children transition into adulthood by providing means for education and jobs. He is the Chiefs 2017 nominee for the Walter Payton Man Of The Year Award.

Alex Smith seems to be the whole package, he can play football, melt your heart with a smile, strike fear into opponents with his cold stare, and also is a very giving individual. Congratulations Mr. Smith, keep flying under the radar and flying through our daydreams.
