USC Trojans Look To Close Strong With Momentum For Top Defensive Linemen

We are less than 12 hours from the early signing period kicking off and the USC Trojans are looking to close strong on the defensive line.

Commitment predictions have been submitted for two top defensive line prospects that would really fortify the 2025 class.

The Latest With Jahkeem Stewart

5-star Jahkeem Stewart is the prize of the class and is trending to commit with the Trojans. He has received crystal balls from all three major recruiting outlets (Rivals, 247 Sports, and On3), and today four more recruiting experts at On3 put in predictions for USC to land Stewart.

Stewart would be one of the highest-rated recruits that USC has landed in quite some time. The Trojans need some blue-chip talent on the defensive line, and Stewart could be the next great USC Trojans sack artist. Coach Henny has gone all in on getting Stewart to LA, will it pay off?

Can USC Trojans Land Christian Ingram?

The other name trending right now is 4-star Christian Ingram. He just visited USC last weekend, and according to On3 analyst Scott Schrader, the visit went well. When asked about the visit, Ingram told Schrader:

“Yes sir, for sure,” he said. “It was amazing. The biggest takeaway is the amount of NFL experience the coaches have and the limitless opportunities you will get just from getting a degree from this school. It’s amazing.”

Ingram also received multiple crystal balls to commit to USC on signing day, but Georgia, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt are all still pushing for the Georgia product.

USC has invested a lot of time recruiting in Georgia and came up empty with a lot of top prospects committing only to de-commit later on. Will Ingram buck that trend and sign with the Trojans? My gut tells me he ends up in Cardinal and Gold.

Wildcard In Josiah Sharma

The final defensive lineman getting some late hype is Folsom High School product Josiah Sharma. Sharma has not been linked to the Trojans for most of the recruiting cycle, but with USC’s recent connection with Folsom, it feels like they have a real shot.

Sharma has been committed to Texas since July but is still predicted to end up at Oregon. It would take a hail mary for Coach Henny, Lincoln Riley, and the Trojans to flip Sharma, but the fact that he has been picking up steam around the program says that a real push is happening.

The USC Trojans defense improved greatly in its first year under D’Anton Lynn, but landing any or all of these three blue-chip prospects would set them up for a nice future.
