After losing local 4-star EDGE Hayden Lowe just yesterday to the Miami Hurricanes, the USC Trojans are losing another one of their 2025 commits.
3-star CB Shamar Arnoux is flipping from USC to Auburn, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.com.
USC Trojans Lose Another 2025 Defensive Recruit
Arnoux is teammates with 5-star QB Julian Lewis at Carrollton in Georgia. Lewis is currently still committed to USC, but there are plenty of reports that he will be flipping, most likely to Colorado, but he is also visiting Georgia this weekend.
Lewis was a big reason why Arnoux committed to SC in the first place, and with Lewis on the fence of de-committing, it should come as no surprise that Arnoux decided to leave and go closer to home.
Based on conversations that I have had, this probably won’t be the last committed player to flip from USC. We already know that the aforementioned Lewis is all but gone, and OT Carde Smith also has a crystal ball to flip. There have been conversations of others flipping as well.

This allows the USC Trojans and Lincoln Riley to not only hone in on the players who truly want to be Trojans but also assess some players, especially locally, that perhaps they hadn’t looked at hard enough before.
Riley spoke briefly about recruiting during his time with the media on Thursday:
“I think you just call it like it is. I mean I think the recruits that understand and I think they do see the progress and they do see how close this team is. And I think the real elite competitors look at it and say, gosh, this team’s been that close. And if our class can come in here and add a boost and make this better, we can be the ones to help push this thing over the edge. And so I just think the great ones always see the opportunity…So, um, I think the real ones see exactly what we’re doing and are very committed to it.”
Saying it is one thing, and putting it out on the field is another. Coach Riley and his staff will need to work fast to rebuild this recruiting class before the early signing period just weeks away.
