As usual, the College Football season flew by, and unfortunately ended in disappointment for the USC Trojans.
While there was plenty of frustration and warranted criticism, the final three-game stretch proved that the USC Trojans may be trending in the right direction, and could be a few pieces away from being a true contender.
One position that will be extremely interesting to watch this offseason will be the wide receiver position.
The room has a ton of talent and depth, but could potentially look a little different for the USC Trojans in the 2025 season.
Leader, and elder statesman Kyron Hudson ran out of the tunnel for Senior Day, indicating that he will declare for the NFL Draft.
There are other talented depth pieces, but all eyes will be on the talented sophomore foursome of Makai Lemon, Duce Robinson, Zachariah Branch, and Ja’Kobi Lane.

There is nothing eminent, but in this writer’s humble opinion, I believe that both Lemon and Robinson are locks to return and finish their college careers as Trojans. I’m not saying that Branch and Lane will enter the transfer portal, but it would not shock me if they did.
Hopefully, all 4 return as they are not only all talented, but they all bring different skill sets to the passing game, and are all fan favorites.
Regardless of what happens, Lincoln Riley will certainly take a look at the Portal and evaluate who they can add to make the room better.
Will USC Trojans Add A WR From The Transfer Portal
Just one day into the offseason, multiple receivers have entered the portal including one of the best at the position in NC State WR Kevin Concepcion.
Concepcion was the 2023 ACC Rookie of the Year and a Freshman All-American. In two seasons, he has amassed 124 receptions for 1,655 yards and 18 touchdowns.
The 5’11, 186-pound Concepcion is similar in size to that of Jordan Addison. After winning the Biletnikoff (nation’s best WR), Addison transferred to USC and was immediately WR1 and was instrumental in Caleb Williams winning the Heisman Trophy in 2022.
Even if all 4 sophomore standouts remain at USC, Concepcion would be a great addition to the offense while freshman Xavier Jordan and the incoming 2025 class develop.
It is about to be a wild few weeks with signing day coming on December 4th and the transfer portal officially opening on December 9th.
The USC Trojans are always a team to watch as they will be active.
