The Oregon Ducks are actively pursuing four-star edge rusher Hayden Lowe, a highly sought-after prospect in the class of 2025. Lowe is currently committed to USC football but has been receiving significant attention from the Ducks.
Adam Gorney of Rivals has reported that Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and his staff have been actively recruiting Lowe, visiting him on multiple occasions, including during the Duck’s bye week. The Ducks attended Lowe’s game against Serra on September 19, where he impressed with a strong performance.

Lowe’s talent and potential have drawn comparisons to Kayvon Thibodeaux, another Oaks Christian graduate who played for Oregon and was a first-round NFL draft pick.
“He has a ton of long-term upside…is a plus athlete and shows the ability to play just about anywhere along the defensive line,” Greg Biggins of 247 Sports wrote of Lowe. “He’s equally strong playing the run or rushing the quarterback. He has an explosive first step and has the ability to dip and turn the corner to beat most tackles with ease.
The Ducks are hoping to convince Lowe to reconsider his commitment to USC football and join their program. It has been reported that the Trojans overhauled defensive coaching staff, including defensive line coach Eric Henderson, and improved on-the-field results have led to increased interest from high-caliber defensive players, like Lowe.
With Lowe, the USC Football 2025 recruiting class is ranked 10th best. The Ducks are currently 7th.
