USC Trojans Shuffles Up Offensive Line Ahead Of Wisconsin Game

The USC Trojans offensive line faced heavy criticism after a poor showing against the Michigan Wolverines, and rightfully so. QB Miller Moss was pressured on more than half of his dropbacks and was lucky to make it out of the game uninjured.

Starting left tackle, Elijah Paige was taken out in the 2nd half (head coach Lincoln Riley said during media availability on Tuesday that he was cramping) and was replaced by Mason Murphy moving to left tackle and Tobias Raymond coming in at right tackle.

We didn’t know for sure there would be any more changes before the Trojans took the field ahead of their matchup with the Wisconsin Badgers, but based on pre-game warmups, it looks like we might have a little clarity on the rotation.

Based on warmups, the starting five appear to be this:

LT – Elijah Paige

LG – Emmanuel Pregnon

C – Jonah Monheim

RG – Amos Talalele

RT – Mason Murphy

So it looks like Paige is back in the starting spot (as he should be) and potentially Amos Talalele will get the start at right guard. I would still expect Alani Noa to get snaps throughout the game, regardless.

We are minutes away from kickoff and should be in store for a great game at the LA Coliseum.

***Update: Amos Talalele did indeed start at right guard, and Paige was back starting at left tackle. The USC Trojans offense started with the ball, and after converting a 4th and 1, scored on the next play on a 32-yard pass from Miller Moss to Ja”kobi Lane.
