USC Trojans Lose Another Five-Star Recruit, DL Justus Terry Decommits

Not even 24 hours after five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson announced that he was decommitting from USC, five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry has decommitted from the USC Trojans as well.

Terry has been committed to USC since an unofficial visit this past March. His commitment came as a bit of a surprise as he has had strong ties to Georgia for quite some time. He has visited Georgia seven total times and had his official visit a few weeks ago on May 31. He was scheduled to have his official visit to USC this weekend on the 21st.

The 6-4.5, 275-pound defensive lineman is considered the number two overall defensive lineman in the 2025 class. The number one overall DL is Elijah Griffin, also from Georgia, and also scheduled to visit USC this weekend.

While not a complete shock, this comes as a blow to the USC Trojans. They go from the 3rd overall 2025 recruiting class to just out of the Top 10 at 11.

However, there is still plenty of time and plenty of work to do on the recruiting trail before signing day in December. The narrative can change very quickly (as we just saw in a 12-hour span) with a few new commitments, especially after another big recruiting weekend coming up.

Scheduled To Be On USC Trojans Campus This Weekend:

Elijah Griffin, DL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jared Smith, EDGE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Malachi Goodman, DL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Marco Jones, EDGE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Carde Smith, OT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Auburn Commit)

Trajen Odom, DL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gus Cordova, DL ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (USC Commit)

While this decommitment will sting for Trojans fans, as you can see, there is still plenty of talent out there. It will be up to Coach Riley, Coach Lynn, and Coach Henderson to not just find highly talented players, but also players that truly want to be USC Trojans. It’s gonna be a wild six months till December!
