Los Angeles, CA – UCLA Football’s 2025 recruiting class continues to gain momentum with the commitment of promising tight end prospect Dylan Sims. This addition brings the Bruins’ recruiting class to eight players, showing the increased emphasis from new head coach, DeShaun Foster.
Simms announced his decision via X.com on Monday morning. According to On3, UCLA was given a 2.3 percent chance to land the 6 foot 6 inch Queen Creek, Arizona native. The Minnesota Golden Gophers were the odds-on choice with an 81 percent chance by their Recruiting Prediction Machine.
UCLA had not extended a scholarship offer to Sims until May 5th of this year. He had his first and only official visit on May 31st and he committed just days later. The Bruins also added fellow 2025 tight end, Noah Flores of Graham, Washington late last month.

Last season for the Queen Creek Bulldogs, Sims caught 27 passes for 363 yards, including a 71-yard catch, and four touchdowns. He also played on the defensive side. He amassed 26 tackles, 5.5 for loss, and 2.5 sacks, per MaxPreps.
