UCLA football made him a scholarship offer in mid-February, days before DeShaun Foster was hired to replace Chip Kelly. Now, the Bruins are being named the front-runner to secure a commitment from 4-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava.
On3’s “Recruiting Prediction Machine” gives UCLA a 97 percent chance of landing the QB.
Iamaleava is scheduled to make an official visit to the school this weekend.
UCLA Football Expected To Land Dual-Threat QB Prospect
The 6’3″ 185 lbs quarterback is a unanimous 4-star player and is ranked as the 3rd best at the position by Rivals and 7th best by ESPN.
Proximity may give the Bruins a leg up with the 2025 dual-threat QB as he is from Downey in Southern California.
As a junior, he led the Warren Bears to an 11-3 record, throwing 196 completions for 3626 yards and 43 touchdowns. He added another 305 yards and three touchdowns on the ground on 78 carries.
Based on a source of On3 Sports, “Madden will commit as soon as he is ready. They have been through the recruiting process already with Nico, so they have a plan in place and will commit as soon as they find the right fit.”
Madden’s brother, Nico, is currently a quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers.
