The UCLA Bruins have lost two straight games, one of those coming at the hands of the 2-7 Arizona State Sun Devils. In that game, the team looked unprepared, uninspired, and unfortunately, downright unwatchable.
Chip Kelly’s job status has always been a contentious subject among the Bruins faithful but after the loss to ASU, it got downright volatile.
Now a report has surfaced from Bruin Report Online, that Chip Kelly will fired after this week’s Victory Bell game against the USC Trojans.
The article says that, according to sources, Chip Kelly will be fired after the USC game, but if UCLA is able to pull off a victory, it will be delayed until after the final game of the season when UCLA plays Cal for a final time.
Directly from the article:
A significant factor to dismiss Kelly was the perceived lack of a viable path forward as UCLA heads into the Big Ten in 2024. Kelly has little support from donors, especially in terms of NIL donations, which has now become the life blood of any college football program and its recruiting.
At this time, the LA Football Network is not confirming anything, but we will keep this story updated as we receive information.
