Best Team Fits For All 9 UCLA Draft Prospects
Kazmeir Allen, Runningback/Wide Receiver- San Francisco 49ers
Kazmeir Allen is exactly the kind of player that Kyle Shanahan uses in his system, one with good speed and versatility. I could see him being used in a similar way that Deebo Samuel is to fit with their offensive scheme. It’s interesting that he decided to declare as a hybrid player so I could see him ending up like Lynn Bowden from the Patriots.
Jon Gaines II, Offensive Guard- New York Jets
Jon Gaines II tested very well at the combine ranking in the top brackets of athleticism for an offensive lineman. Athletic offensive linemen are exactly what the Jets need, as Nathaniel Hackett should run the same system he did in Green Bay. Gaines helped usher in a new wave of culture under Coach Kelly and had great leadership in the locker room. He brings with his versatility and he is well above average between the ears.
Zach Charbonnet, Running Back- Buffalo Bills
Zach Charbonnet is a great power runner with many comparing him to Green Bay’s AJ Dillon. He’s exactly the kind of back that Buffalo drafted Zack Moss to be a couple of years back and should be a great complement to Josh Allen‘s running skills. Buffalo has needed a three-down back for a couple of years now, as there were many games where Allen has had to be the leading rusher and Charbonnet would have the ability to be one when he is called upon.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Quarterback- Philadelphia Eagles
Dorian Thompson-Robinson is an interesting prospect with a lot of potential but could use some time to develop. Sitting behind Jalen Hurts in this case could be beneficial in many ways, as they’ve both got similar play styles. If everything goes right for DTR I could see him having a career similar to Tyler Huntley
Stephan Blaylock, Safety- Green Bay Packers
Green Bay is in need of some safety help and Stephan Blaylock could be a late-round gem for them. Blaylock had a similar talent to his former teammate and current Los Angeles Ram Quentin Lake. His versatility all over the field proved useful for the Bruins. He’s a great fit for the zone scheme that Joe Barry runs up in Green Bay.
Mo Osling III, Defensive Back- Kansas City Chiefs
Osling would be a good fit for the Chiefs’ defensive scheme. He’s a player that plays pretty similar to some of the DBs they’ve drafted in the past like Jaylen Watson and Charvarius Ward.
Jake Bobo, Wide Receiver- Los Angeles Rams
Bobo is the definition of a Rams draft pick in recent years. They did show interest at the combine as noted by our very own Ryan Anderson. He’s got a great build at 6’5 215 and I could even see a possible conversion to tight end. A late-round flier on Bobo could turn him into the next Ben Skowronek for LA.
Atonio Mafi, Offensive Guard- Baltimore Ravens
Mafi is a physical guard best suited for the style of offensive line play that Baltimore favors. He’s a solid power blocker that would be a good fit for their run-first offense and has the athleticism to pull well.
Michael Ezeike, Tight End- Detroit Lions
After trading T.J. Hockenson, the Lions could use an athletic tight end like Ezeike. He impressed at the NFLPA Bowl practice with his big catch radius and has a good frame to be a great red zone tight end similar to Eric Ebron.
