Preseason and training camps have started and NFL players have arrived at their respective team’s training facilities. Many of these players arrived in style.
NFL Players Arrive To Training Camp In Style
Style in sports is almost as important as the talent these players have. From what clothes they wear to what house they buy to what cars they drive, athlete’s styles have everyone talking. From bikes to Teslas to fire trucks to mom, NFL players rolled through the first week of training camp with fun, speed, and power.
The flashiest and most impressive appearance was made by Pittsburgh Steelers’ star wide receiver Antonio Brown. Brown arrived at training camp in the back of a vintage 1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom One complete with its own chauffeur. He has shown up in a Rolls-Royce every year he has been in the league.
Antonio Brown wasn’t the only Steeler to show up in style. Steeler’s linebacker James Harrison came in sirens blaring as he one upped Brown when he arrived in a fire truck. Harrison refused to be out shined by Brown this year.
The Chicago Bears also had two players show up in vastly different vehicles. On one side of the spectrum, the “Man of a Thousand Tanks”, Bears center Eric Kush, pedaled to camp on a bike-built-for-two. Weirdly enough, he showed up alone on it.
Then on the other side of the spectrum, Bears punter Pat O’Donnell showed up in his McLaren 570S. Eric Kush wasn’t the only player trying to save money on gas as several Green Bay Packers players showed on bikes to greet young fans and give them rides to and from practice.
Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis had a slightly faster mode of transportation in his Polaris Slingshot in honor of former Colt Reggie Wayne, who often arrived at training camp in style. While Davis’ ride was obviously a big hit, he’s got a long way to go to match some of Wayne’s stunts which included an F1 car, a helicopter, military personnel and a garbage truck.
The Carolina Panthers displayed a variety of wheels. Cam Newton went to and from practice on a three-wheeler where he also posed on it for a picture and gave an autograph to a young fan.
Panthers running back Fozzy Whittaker appeared to have a fire-breathing dragon on the side of his Ford truck as he arrived at training camp and running back Jonathan Stewart arrived in a University of Oregon colored Audi to represent his alma mater.
While other players were showing off their rides, defensive end Julius Peppers used a car service to come to camp instead. Panthers rookie running back and wide receiver Curtis Samuel decided not to spend any money as he had his mom drop him off.
DeSean Jackson bonded with his new Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate when he made an airport pickup of Mike Evans in his white Ferrari, while Linebacker Connor Barwin upstaged other cars in the Los Angeles Rams parking lot with his Tesla SUV.
But players weren’t the only ones with expensive rides as Miami Dolphins WRs coach Shawn Jefferson showed up in his green overly-large truck that could easily fit other cars in the bed.
